Boil water notice issued for some in Buda, city says
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A boil water notice was issued for some residents in the city of Buda after a "major water line break" happened on South Loop 4, the city said on social media.
The line break happened near the Bella Vita Subdivision in Buda, the city said.
"The downtown area of Buda includes those residents living along and west of Cedar Street; along and south of San Antonio Street; along and north of Goforth Road; and along and East of Arveda Lane," the city said.
Shortly before 10 p.m., the city said those affected should boil water and bring it to "a vigorous rolling boil for a minimum of two minutes."
"In lieu of boiling for drinking and/or human consumption, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from another suitable source," the city said.
Once the notice is no longer in effect, another notice will be issued to those who are affected, the city said.
