My mum hid my birth control when I was 15 to stop me having sex… it backfired when I became a teen mum at 16
A WOMAN has revealed that her mum is so desperate for a grandchild she’s hidden her birth control to make it happen quicker.
Taking to the Closet Confessions podcast the 23-year-old revealed she ended up a teen mum thanks to her mum.

Confessing to the pair, the woman revealed that she was 15 when she first started having sex with her boyfriend.
Taking the sensible route, she decided to get contraception so that nothing bad would happen, but it didn’t go quite to plan.
She said: I’m always wondering how different my life would be if I didn’t have a child, let me explain…”
“I was in high school and sure as hell didn’t want a baby,” she said.
“I was given the pill and took it with no problems.
“Fast forward a few months, I went out one day as soon as I walked through the door my mum started shouting, screaming, throwing things.. she found my birth control.”
Knowing her mum would not be happy that she was having sex she told her mum it was to help with her periods.
But her mum didn’t buy her story and took the pills away – hoping it would stop her.
Instead, she carried on having sex and a few months later found out she was pregnant at just 16.
Deciding motherhood wasn’t for her as a teenager, she went to the abortion clinic but found out she was too late as she was just over the 24 week mark.
Instead, she opted to keep her pregnancy a secret for eight months.
While she soon came around to the idea of being a young mum, her mum had nothing left to say.
She continued: “I’m sure that’s because she knows that she is part of the reason I got pregnant.

Teen pregnancies in the UK have been decreasing considerably since 2007...
The under-18 conception rate has decreased considerably since 2007, reports Nuffield Trust.
Between 2007 and 2021, the under-18 conception rate in England and Wales decreased by 68%, from 42 per 1,000 women to 13 per 1,000 women.
This resulted in 13,131 under-18 conceptions in England and Wales in 2021.
“I’m now 23, my son is six, I love him ever so much.
“I have been no contact with my mother for nearly two years now because of her toxic behaviour.”
The girls were stunned by their mum’s behaviour.
Sarel said: “I find it to be problematic when parents love to be in La La Land and want to pretend my 15/16-year-old child is still Virgin Mary.
“If your kids are, I think, from the age of 16 personally, you should be having conversations about at least safe sex, not just preventative form having a baby but STDs.”
