AFD: Grocery store in south Austin catches fire, severely damaged

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A grocery store in south Austin caught fire Wednesday morning resulting in severe damage, according to the Austin Fire Department.
The store is located in a commercial strip center at South First Street and West Stassney Lane.
AFD said that no one was hurt in the fire. However, as a result of the damage, the grocery store will be closed for the foreseeable future.
AFD said the fire has now been extinguished and crews will remain on scene ventilating and checking for fire spread.
