France continues to fiercely oppose an EU-Mercosur trade deal
After years of being on standby, a free-trade agreement between the EU and Mercosur could finally be ratified in the coming weeks. The only condition is that at least 15 member states representing 65% of the European population vote in its favour. France is the most fiercely opposed to the deal.
