Broken glass slashes Portland bar patron in neck
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A stabbing in a Kerns neighborhood bar left one man seriously wounded and another man sitting in the Multnomah County Jail.
The incident just before midnight Friday night happened inside the bar near 2600 NE Sandy Boulevard, Portland police said. The victim was hit in the neck by a glass which broke, causing serious injuries. He was rushed by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment and is expected to recover, authorities said.
The suspect, later identified as Abraham Bravo, was spotted about two blocks west of the bar and placed under arrest.
The 28-year-old was booked for second-degree assault and had an outstanding arrest warrant.
Witnesses to the incident may have left the bar before police arrived. Investigators continue to look into the case and anyone with information is asked to call Portland police.
