CSG's Final recommendations and district optimization survey
LAFAYETTE PARISH, La (KLFY)-- In Lafayette Parish ahead of next week's school board meeting where a decision will be made on the final cost cutting recommendations presented to LPSS. the Lafayette Parish School Board announced next week's meeting will begin earlier than usual due to high anticipation on what will be discussed like the District's Optimization Survey. The school board will vote on final recommendations made by the strategic planning firm Civic Solutions Group as half of the recommendations made, has been modified since its initial proposal.
On it's website, the Lafayette Parish School System indicates seven of the initial recommendations made by CSG has been modified in it's final recommendation report. iI its financial model, CGS's revised proposals estimates a net savings of $4.2 million dollars during its first year with a recurring average of $8million dollars per year. CSG's proposed cost saving recommendations come from its District Optimization Survey which in a statement LPSS says "The Lafayette Parish school board contracted with CSG for $184,500."
