Portland restaurants, stores offering take-home meals for Thanksgiving
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — With Thanksgiving just around the corner, along with it comes the most iconic feature - the food. But if there's not enough time to make all the classic dishes yourself, these Portland restaurants, cafes and grocery stores have got you covered.
Here are a selection of places where you can order take-home meals, as well as a few dine-out options accepting reservations for the holiday.
Zupan's Markets
Locations: Portland and Lake Oswego
This market's menu includes a complete turkey dinner for 8, which the store says is "Also perfect for families of 4 who love leftovers." Additionally, they have a variety of desserts including the classic pumpkin and apple pies, but also unique offerings like bourbon pecan pie and pumpkin spice cheesecake.

Elephants Delicatessen
Locations: Portland's SE Central Kitchen, NW 22nd, Cedar Hills and Lake Oswego
This deli's holiday dinner includes oven-roasted turkey breast, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans with shiitake mushrooms, gravy and cranberry-orange relish. You can either grab a single order or a dinner for six. Plus another single option dinner for those with dietary restrictions includes roasted squash, seasoned lentils, wild rice, as well as the green beans and cranberry relish. There are even other hors d'oeuvres and seasonal desserts available.
Pickup and delivery dates are Tuesday, Nov. 26 and Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Marco’s Café and Espresso Bar
Location: 7910 SW 35th Avenue, Portland Ore., 97219
This cafe in Multnomah Village cafe may be the best bang for your buck if you're dining solo for the holiday. For $38, a single meal for takeout includes turkey breast, whipped butter potatoes, herbed stuffing, gravy, cranberry chutney, sweet corn and pumpkin pie. But the cafe also offers a meal for four for $140.
You can order online or call the restaurant to reserve a meal by Monday, Nov. 20 for pickup on Nov. 22.
Market of Choice
Locations: SE Belmont St, Portland, Ore. and Hood St, West Linn, Ore.
If you have a large family with different dietary restrictions, Market of Choice might be the place for you. Made with local ingredients, dinners can be made for up to eight people. Plus they offer a plant-based dinner for four and a gluten-free sides package. Additionally, the market even boasts a variety of meat centerpieces, including an elevated take on turducken.
Quaintrelle
Location: 2032 SE Clinton Street, Portland, Ore. 97202
Quaintrelle in Southeast Portland will give you everything but the bird with their Just Add Turkey Feast. The meal for four features focaccia-sausage stuffing, green beans, stuffed squash, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls and pecan-crusted pumpkin chiffon pie.
You can also add on a special cocktail to your meal with names such as the tequila-based "Apple of My Eye," gin-based "Pearly Enough Thyme," as well as non-alcoholic apple cider.
You can reserve a meal for pickup for Wednesday Nov. 27 or Thursday Nov. 28.
Papa Haydn
Locations: Sellwood and Northwest Portland
This Portland dessert haven boasts plenty of seasonal trifles, cookies, cheesecakes and more. But their take-home Thanksgiving feast for two includes 1.5 pounds of roasted turkey, browned butter and sage mashed potatoes, roasted heirloom carrots and Brussels sprouts, wild mushroom gravy, cranberry walnut relish, salad and house-mulled apple cider.
All of these are available for pre-order through Nov. 22 and can be picked up on Wednesday, Nov, 27.
For those amateur chefs out there who are looking for other dining out experiences (and don't want to risk any kitchen accidents), here are three other options:
Jake's Grill
Location: 611 SW 10 Ave, Portland, Ore. 97205
Jake’s Grill in downtown Portland will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving buffet, featuring the usual holiday fare, as well as a chilled seafood display, smoked gouda mac and cheese and more.
The restaurant also offers to-go feasts that serve four to six people. Orders can be placed online or by phone until Monday, Nov. 20.
Ritz-Carlton Portland
Location: 900 SW Washington Street Portland, Ore. 97205
Portland's newest luxury hotel will host a Thanksgiving brunch and dinner, which will feature live entertainment, including a jazz trio, as well as a cookie decorating station. For dinner, guests will receive a decadent thanksgiving feast topped off with a slice of pumpkin pie with whipped crème fraiche and cranberry compote. Reservations are required in advance.
Portland City Grill
Location: 111 SW 5th Ave 30th Floor, Portland, Ore. 97204
This Downtown Portland restaurant located in Big Pink will offer a stunning 30th-floor view of the city in addition to its special Thanksgiving menu. Portland City Grill diners can look forward to a $65 three-course meal with shrimp, short ribs, mahi mahi and more as their regular entree options.
