Influencer slammed after she puts newborn in £1k designer onesie to come home from the hospital

SOCIAL media users waited with baited breath after influencer and TikTok sensation Campbell ‘Pookie’ Puckett announced she had given birth.

She welcomed her first child, Paloma Campbell Puckett, with her husband Jett earlier this week; it was a pretty glam affair.

Sat in the hospital bed before Paloma’s arrival, Campbell was gifted a designer Hermès Birkin bag as her ‘push present’.

She was later shown applying a full face of makeup for the momentous occasion.

But it was the couple’s choice of outfits for little Paloma that left some people scratching their heads.

In a series of snaps shared to Instagram, the couple showed their newborn daughter wearing a stunning pink cashmere onesie from Hermes, which reportedly cost a whopping £1000.

The stunning onesie features an embroidered horse on the chest and Mother-of-pearl buttons.

The little one also had a matching pair of £280 knit socks to complete the look.

Campbell, who is based in Atlanta, revealed online that she had the outfit overnighted as soon as she knew she would go into labour earlier than expected.

The couple have become known on social media for their luxurious taste, often showing off their designer outfits for date night on TikTok.

But some people couldn’t believe they’d fork out for their newborn to have an expensive designer outfit just to leave the hospital.

“She will poop and ruin this outfit just as fast as the $10 Walmart sleepers. But seriously, she is adorable.” One person commented on a video shared by the Daily Mail.

“It’s all fun and games until there’s a huge diaper blowout!” a second agreed.

“Ya and I can’t even afford my electric bill this month. What a world we live in,” another fumed.

Meanwhile, someone else thought the designer look was the “dumbest thing”.

But fans of the sweet couple rushed to defend their purchase and congratulate them on their new arrival.

“Did we expect anything else from Baby Pookie? Slay girl slay,” one said.

“That baby won the family lottery with Pookie and Jett.” Another wrote.

And someone else even suggested that the outfit could be kept as an heirloom, if it was kept clean, of course.

Who is Campbell Puckett?

Campbell Puckett, known as “Pookie” by her followers, is a social media influencer with over 250,000 followers on TikTok.

She started as a content creator and lifestyle blogger from Atlanta.

The University of Mississippi graduate attained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing in 2013. 

Before rising to fame, Campbell was an American Airlines flight attendant.

According to her LinkedIn page, she also worked as an account executive for several management companies.

In 2017, Campbell became a content creator with her blog, You Should Wear That.

Thousands of fashion bloggers flocked to her Instagram reaching an audience of nearly 200,000.

Who is Campbell Puckett’s husband, Jett?

Jett Puckett is the managing director of a mergers and acquisitions company.

According to Page Six, Campbell and Jett met in Philadelphia in 2015.

In a TikTok video, Jett said: “I walked up to the prettiest girl at a wine bar in Philadelphia and just started talking to her.

“Two days later, we were inseparable and 10 months later we were engaged.”

The couple tied the knot in April 2018 after purchasing a new home in Atlanta.

One of Jett’s most popular catchphrases is: “Pookie is looking absolutely fire tonight,” which he adorably says to compliment his wife.
