Knifeman takes 4 hostages in Paris pizzeria & phones his MUM begging ‘I need cocaine’ before surrendering to armed cops
A KNIFE-wielding man arrested after taking multiple people hostage inside a pizza restaurant begged her mum for cocaine.
The man, reportedly suffering from drug addiction, was said to be holding at least four employees of Pizza L’Olivier restaurant in Issy-les-Moulineaux, Paris.

Dozens of cop cars and ambulances rushed to the tense scene while authorities locked down the street in a siege.
The suspect is said to be a drug addict very known to the police “for cases of narcotics, outrage, violence and rebellion”, according to Le Parisien.
Authorities familiar with the situation said the man called his mother to tell her that he was “in need of cocaine”.
She is then understood to have alerted the police.
A press release posted earlier from the restaurant’s management said: “A hostage situation is currently taking place in our restaurant in Issy-les-Moulineaux.
“Four people are being held inside by a man who is expressing suicidal thoughts […] we would like to inform you that there are no customers among the hostages, only employees.”
