How I’m A Celeb star Danny Jones and wife Georgia lived ‘separate lives’ and was forced to be ‘celibate for a year’
MCFLY star Danny Jones is set to leave his wife and family for the next few weeks for his I’m A Celebrity stint.
But it’s not the first time that the couple have been forced to live “separate lives”.
Danny, who has been with his model wife Georgia Horsley for 15 years, went through a difficult period following the birth of their son.
They tied the knot back in 2014 and welcomed their little boy Cooper Alf Jones four years later.
Speaking on Made by Mammas podcast, ex-Miss England beauty Georgia said: “Before, when Danny joined The Voice Kids, it was straight after I’d had Cooper.
“I’d given birth five days before and he had to go back to work, so I was left home alone.”
Danny has been a regular face on The Voice Kids from 2017 to 2023, before landing a permanent role on the The Voice this year.
Georgia said they had to work hard at learning how to be in a healthy relationship after having kids and said felt “constant resentment”.
She added: “We’ve always said that – as long as we’ve been together, we’ve always enjoyed our separate times because when we’ve reunited it’s even nicer. Communication is key, as well.
“It’s something we had to relearn after having a baby – it’s just constant resentment at the other partner for not doing enough, even though they are.
“But in the end it all comes together if you keep talking to each other.”
Georgia also made an honest sex confession revealing that she and Danny were celibate for a year after welcoming Cooper.
“We can’t have had sex for a year at one stage because after you have your baby you’re healing and after two months into getting pregnant we didn’t have sex,” she shared.
Despite the lack of intimacy, Georgia admitted they are still very much in love.
She went on: “We’re a very touchy feely couple. He was alright, he got what he needed.
“We are a very kissy and cuddly couple so we still had that intimacy,” as reported by the Express.
Danny will be entering the jungle alongside a host of other famous faces when the ITV show returns on Sunday.
The star-studded line-up have posed in the ITV show’s famous red, navy and khaki gear and donned an Akubra hats for their cast photos.
Looking more than ready to take on the challenge, Danny is posing casually with one foot on a rock and with his tattooed arms folded.
The McFly star, who was one of the first of this year’s I’m A Celeb campmates to touch down in Australia, is just missing the guitar he brought with him from the UK.
I’m A Celebrity 2024 kicks off this Sunday (November 17) and will be home to the likes of Coleen Rooney, Melvin Odoom and Jane Moore.
