FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Friday Evening,
It has been a cloudy day with temps in a very narrow window, with a morning low of 50°, and an afternoon high of 52°. Expect mainly cloudy skies tonight, and temps will slowly fall after midnight back into the lower 40s. Expect clouds early on Saturday, with some clearing later, and highs back in the middle 50s.
Sunday we will have some more sunshine with clouds mixed in, and highs back into the lower 60s. There will be a slight chance of showers overnight into Monday. More significantly though, will be more clouds around on Monday with highs in the lower 60s. We will stay in the lower 60s on Tuesday, with rain showers likely. A cold front will push through on Wednesday, with more rain showers around with highs still above normal in the middle 50s.
For Thursday, the low trailing this system will be to our north, closer to Lake Erie, and this will keep us on the underside of it, driving in colder air from the northwest. Light rain showers, mixed with snow showers will be possible on Thursday, with breezy to windy conditions, and highs only in the lower 40s. Because of the temps, I do not expect accumulating snow, but wet flakes will be mixed in.
Historically speaking, our first measurable snowfall (0.1" or greater) occurs on the 21st day of November, which happens to be next Thursday. Friday light rain showers will continue in our area with highs only in the middle 40s.
