Did you know Washburn has a Cricket Team?
TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Washburn cricket team hosted their first competitive match Friday.
The 'NepaBods' were up against the Avila Eagles for the second time this season to resolve their tie. Washburn's Dean of Students, Teresa Clounch, spoke to 27 News on what this has meant for the university.
"For us to be able to open up Yager Stadium, to be able to have students to have this cricket match is really what student success and being engaged and involved is all about," Clounch said.
While the Bods didn't win on Nov. 15, the cricket club hopes to expand its schedule in the spring.
