Mum slams ‘heavy-handed’ cops as eight officers detain her dogs on suspicion of killing cat
A MUM has slammed “heavy-handed” police after eight officers turned up to arrest her and detain her two dogs on suspicion of killing a cat.
Jodie Davy did not see her American akitas for three months after they were taken in August.
A neighbour blamed them for her pet’s death and video shows eight cop seizing her prized show breed dogs before Jodie, 34, was arrested in Mortimer, near Reading.
But police decided she will face no further action and a dog warden has now returned them.
Jodie said: “We’ve been through living hell.
“The police tore apart our family as the dogs are like our kids.
“They are harmless. It was all very heavy-handed.
“There was zero evidence.”
Thames Valley Police said: “Two dogs were seized as part of the investigation and were returned.
“No criminality was found and the matter has been transferred as a civil dispute.”
