Jennifer Lawrence Serves Gothic Maternity Look in Ethereal Black Dress and Manolo Blahnik Sandals at ‘Bread & Roses’ Premiere
Jennifer Lawrence once again showcased her sartorial savviness at the premiere of “Bread & Roses” in Los Angeles last night.
The actress, who helped produce the poignant Apple documentary, brought the drama in an off-the-shoulder black dress featuring a draped design with barely-there spaghetti straps and sheer ruched sleeves. A vintage look from Christian Lacroix‘s fall 2006 haute couture collection, the ethereal gown was complete with ribbon details and a chunky beaded embellishment adorning the neckline.
On foot, the “No Hard Feelings” star slipped into a pair of sleek black sandals that seamlessly complemented her romantic, gothic dress. Since they were mostly hidden, all that could be seen of the shoes was a simple toe strap. She wore Manolo Blahnik’s Chaos ankle strap sandals crafted in smooth nappa leather.
The Dior ambassador styled her blonde tresses down and behind her shoulders to highlight her ear bling, which consisted of diamond drop studs and an ear cuff by Anita Ko. Lawrence works with celebrity stylist Jamie Mizrahi, whose other clients include Jeremy Allen White, Adele, Nicole Richie and Riley Keough.
Since rising to fame, the “Silver Linings Playbook” actress has always been one to watch when it comes her red carpet looks, but in recent years, she’s also become known for her understated-cool everyday outfits. She’s often photographed out and about in New York City donning chic, minimalist ensembles with pieces from The Row (her favorite), Toteme, Bode, and La Ligne.
Shoes she’s been spotted in of late include Charvet suede house slippers, The Row’s Eva ballet flats and Hugo suede mules, and Manolo Blahnik’s Susa leather thong sandals. Her go-to sneakers this fall have been Puma’s Speedcat OG in black and Adidas Sambas.
“Bread & Roses” spotlights how the Taliban’s return to power in Afghanistan impacted women and follows three women who are fighting for their rights. Lawrence procured the film alongside women’s rights advocate Malala Yousafzai. It will be available to stream on Apple TV+ on November 22.
