Construction to disrupt MAX Blue, Red line service in Downtown Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- TriMet is encouraging riders to plan ahead this weekend, as construction on a section of both the MAX Red and Blue Lines will disrupt service in Downtown Portland.
According to TriMet, crews will be making improvements to a 100-foot section of the lines near Southwest 11th Avenue and Morrison Street.
As a result, riders will need to board shuttle buses at the Galleria/SW 10th Avenue and Providence Park MAX stations to travel around the construction. Those shuttles will arrive every five minutes.
However, TriMet suggest those traveling downtown on either line plan an extra 15 minutes for their trips.
Regular MAX Blue and Red Line service will resume on Monday, Nov. 18.
