Sneakersnstuff Reimagines the Salomon XT-6 GTX to Gear Up for the ‘S**tty Swedish Weather’
Sneakersnstuff (SNS) has delivered countless can’t-miss collaborations over the past 25 years. That continues with the Swedish retailer’s latest effort with Salomon, which was created with inclement weather in mind.
Arriving before month’s end is the Sneakersnstuff x Salomon XT-6 GTX, which SNS confirmed marks the first collaborative effort between the two.
“What better way to close out our 25th anniversary than by prepping for the sh**ty Swedish weather. This one is for all the dry people out there,” Johan Undén, creative director at SNS, said in a statement.
From a tech perspective, the highlight of the shoe are its Flash-X Gore-Tex waterproof membranes. It also features uppers made with an abrasion-resistant TPU material and a single-layer mesh, as well as molded OrthoLite sockliners, Salomon’s Agile Chassis System and Mud Contagrip rubber outsoles. The model’s signature quickLACE lacing system ties the look together,
In terms of aesthetics, the collab is dressed in almond milk, seagress and wren hues. Also, it features SNS, Salomon and Gore-Tex branding throughout.
Sign up for the SNS x Salomon XT-6 GTX begins Nov. 15 via the SNS app, and remaining pairs will be released online via Sneakersnstuff.com, in the SNS app and in all of its locations on Nov. 22. Retail price is set at $220. To celebrate the launch, SNS and creative agency Beinghunted will host an event at SNS Berlin on Nov. 21.
