The top Children in Need moments you need to watch tonight as annual telethon takes over BBC One

THE annual star-studded Children in Need telethon will take over BBC One tonight.

Pudsey Bear will be back on our TV screens alongside the likes of Mel Giedroyc, Rochelle Humes, and Vernon Kay as hosts.

Ade Adepitan, Chris Ramsey and actor Lenny Rush will also take to the airwaves to front the highly-anticipated event.

But what can we actually look forward to watching tonight?

Girls Aloud have released a brand-new version of their hit track ‘I’ll Stand By You’, 20 years after its original release as the Children in Need single.

On the re-released song, the late Sarah Harding featured exclusively on lead vocals.

The girls were pulling together archive material for their sell-out arena tour earlier this year when they found the studio recordings from their vault.

Unseen archive footage will be shown in the broadcast tonight when a new edit of the original video will be screened.

Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh will also pay a visit to the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) at the Royal London Hospital, which is a Children In Need funded project.

Meanwhile, Global Superstar Bluey will team up with Strictly Come Dancing in what producers promise will be a first for the show.

He will take to the glitzy BBC ballroom alongside some of the shows most popular professionals to help raise funds with a playful dance.

He will display easy moves that viewers at home can dance along to, including The Mashed Potato, The Alligator and The Floss, in the specially choreographed jive.

Paddy McGuinness will also be in the studio after his five-day Ultra Endurance Cycle Challenge.

He will find out the result of his fundraising after he cycled 300 miles on his dream Raleigh Chopper childhood bike from Wrexham in Wales to Glasgow.

Plenty of charity specials of TV shows will also be shown as the Brockmans reunite in a new sketch ahead of the Outnumbered reunion Christmas special.

Oscar winner Gary Oldman will read a special CBeebies Bedtime Story which was written especially for the charity.

Former Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa will also be on hand as he introduces a world exclusive preview of the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas Special. 

This will be after two highly collectable pieces from the set of the long-running show are put up for auction.

Kylie Minogue‘s waitress costume from Voyage of the Damned in 2007 will be sold as well as Jodie Whittaker’s Tardis.

Hugh Bonneville, Olivia Colman, Antonio Banderas and Emily Mortimer will decide who their favourite bear is between Paddington and Pudsey after the release of Paddington in Peru.

The Gladiators will also make a special appearance as they are set to take part in a special dance class, before they are joined by some unexpected new recruits.

There’s set to be a special twist with Graham Norton‘s Red Chair as a group of children will decide the fate of some famous faces who will attempt to make them laugh.

There’s also set to be a set of show-stopping performances that are sure to entertain viewers.

Multi-platinum artist Ella Henderson will perform alongside The One Show’s Challenge Squad in a live performance.

This is before the cast of the new circus spectacular, Come Alive! The Greatest Showman will take to the stage.

The BBC Children in Need Choir will be sure to have the audience in tears as they sing the Take That classic ‘Never Forget’.

For the first time ever, children from across all parts of the country that have been supported by charity projects will come together for the extravaganza.

The 2024 Children in Need live telethon will air on BBC One tonight from 7pm.
