A low-pressure area will move east of the Ohio Valley, merging with another system forming along the Mid-Atlantic Coast.
A northwesterly flow will result in drier weather after morning drizzle tapers off, but lingering moisture will result in cloudy skies through Saturday.
Afternoon temperatures will reach the mid-50s, falling to near 50 degrees during the Football Friday Nite playoff games. Morning lows will start off in the mid-40s.
High pressure builds in from the west over the weekend, but clouds will hang around Saturday. Temperatures will top out in the mid-50s.
Skies will brighten on Sunday, but clouds will increase later in the day as a weak front drifts southward into northern Ohio. sparking isolated showers in the north, before washing out.
Partial sunshine will return Monday, with temperatures rebounding into the low 60s. Showers will arrive on Tuesday, as a larger storm system pivots eastward from the Upper Midwest to the Great Lakes, drawing progressively cooler air into the region, accompanied by more showers.
