My hubby has been cheating with his cousin for most of our marriage -I didn’t see any red flags, it began when he was 16
A WOMAN has been left distraught after discovering that her husband has been cheating on her with his cousin for their entire marriage.
The 39-year-old revealed that her husband, 40, was left in bits three weeks ago, when his cousin was killed in a car crash.
The man and his husband had been sleeping together for decades[/caption]After spending weeks looking visibly depressed, he sat his wife of 15 years down over dinner and told her a dark secret.
Taking to Reddit, the woman revealed: “To sum some things up he essentially had been doing sexual things with his cousin since she ‘seduced’ him when she 13 and he was 16.
“This sexual activities went on through their adulthood up until he started to date me.”
Following their wedding, the woman’s husband stopped sleeping with his cousin for four years, until she convinced him to start things up again.
“He told me to take it as I will and he’ll accept anything I choose to do considering our marriage,” she said.
“His cousin apparently was a lot more than just some sex fling.”
The woman revealed that she was extremely shocked, as she never would have expected her husband to be a cheat.
She said: “He never did anything that would give it red flags like coming in late or leaving hair of another woman around.
“I’m at a standstill and not sure where to go from here.
“I haven’t been able to say anything to him after he was so blunt about it.
“I’m still crying now, I don’t know where to go from here.”
The woman implored to Reddit users for advice, and was met with hundreds of messages of empathy.
One person said: “He married you because he couldn’t have her.
“He’s not the guy you married. You need to respect yourself enough to kick him out of your life.”
A second person said: “This is just so weird on so many levels.
Can I marry my cousin in the UK?
ACROSS the globe, more than 10 percent of marriages are between first or second cousins.
In the UK, there’s no legal bar to two cousins having a relationship.
That means that if end up falling for the children of your aunts and uncles, there’s nothing stopping you from eventually tying the knot.
If you’re over the age of 18, you can do this without the consent of your legal guardian or parent.
First-cousin marriages were once quite common in Europe, especially among the elite.
“I don’t feel like he wants to work on your marriage. I don’t even know if your marriage is salvageable, there’s no way in hell I would stay with someone like that.”
“You’ve literally been living in a reality for 15 years that didn’t even exist, what a waste of your time.
A third person added: “There’s so many things that concern me about this post.
“The fact he actually thinks a 13 year old can ‘seduce’ a 16 year old who knows better, the decade of cheating with his relative and him now ‘being honest’ because she died.
“I’m not really understanding his timing on this but its probably because he wants to alleviate his guilt.
“Personally I think the undertone here is that he’s in love with his relative and he actually needs serious professional help.”
