'You will face an immediate primary challenge': Another Trump ally threatens Republicans
Another close ally of Donald Trump threatened fellow Republicans on Wednesday who are waffling — or outright rejecting — the president-elect's pick for attorney general.
After Republicans including Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) fired warning shots at Republicans thinking of breaking rank on confirming Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) as the nation's next top prosecutor, another MAGA ally joined the effort.
"If you voted for [Merrick] Garland and won’t vote for Gaetz, you will face an immediate primary challenge," threatened Charlie Kirk on X, a prominent conservative political activist known for founding the nonprofit Turning Point USA, which promotes conservative values to young people.
The right-wing influencer was also in charge of the Trump campaign's ground game.

Fellow MAGA internet personality Nick Sortor agreed with Kirk.
"We’re not f--ing (sic) around," he wrote.
Their comments come after Tuberville told Fox Business, “I don’t know, you’re finding all the swamp creatures coming out right now” to oppose Gaetz's nomination.
“Everybody’s got an opinion up here but at the end of the day, President Trump was elected by an enormous vote, and he deserves the team around him that he wants. It’s not up to us to determine that," he said.
He added: "You are not the United States of America. You have one vote in the U.S. Senate. You did not get elected president. Vote with President Trump. This is the last chance we’re going to have to save this country. And if you want to get in the way, fine. But we’re going to try to get you out of the Senate, too, if you try to do that.”
