Woman slashed, shoved onto subway tracks in Harlem: NYPD
HARLEM, Manhattan (PIX11) -- A woman was shoved onto the subway tracks at a station in Harlem, according to the NYPD.
The incident happened around 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the W 125 St and St Nicholas Avenue station, police say.
An unknown man approached the 37-year-old victim as she was waiting inside the station, police say. The man grabbed the victim's hair, slashed her in the face multiple times with a sharp object, and pushed her onto the tracks before fleeing.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition.
Police are searching for Michael Blount, 29, in connection to the incident. Blount is described as 5'9'' and around 185 pounds.
The NYPD released the following photo of Blount.
