Public comment window extended on reimagining of I-787
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The public comment window on the proposed designs for the future of I-787 has been extended. The New York State Department of Transportation said public comments will be accepted through the end of November.
Developers unveiled eight different concepts in October. They include renovating the existing highway, building a ground level boulevard or creating an underground tunnel.
Officials are hoping to improve access to the Hudson Riverfront and reconnecting neighborhoods cut off by the highway.
