KS Veterans, active military can watch high school football for free
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Kansas veterans and active military members will have their attendance fees waived at playoff high school football games across the Sunflower State, in honor of Veterans Day.
The Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) announced Tuesday, Nov. 12 that active military and veterans, as well as one guest, will be able to attend a Sectional Championship game this week, free of charge.
To get yourself and your guest in, show your driver's license, which has a seal identifying yourself as a veteran or signifying service, display your veteran ID card, or any other proof of identification.
This is the second year that we have done this for our those that have served or are serving and we hope to continue this for many years to come. We can never fully repay the sacrifice made by those who protect our country and our freedom but we need to recognize them, and say ‘thank you'.
Bill Faflick, Executive Director for KSHSAA
According to KSHSAA, Sectional football could take place Thursday, Nov. 14 or Friday, Nov. 15, depending on facility availability.
