The Golden Bachelorette arrived on the heels of The Golden Bachelor, which premiered last year to a devoted audience. The two series take after their Bachelor/Bachelorette predecessors and focus on older adults who are looking for romance rather than the usual 20-somethings that typically populate the franchise. In The Golden Bachelorette, 61-year-old widow Joan Vassos met 24 eligible senior bachelors in a quest for another chance at love. Joan first gained popularity as a contestant on The Golden Bachelor but chose to leave early to help her daughter, who had just given birth.
Following a few shocking twists, Joan is now tasked with choosing between two men as she heads into the season finale. ABC has blocked out a 90-minute chunk of time in its TV guide for tonight's final episode, which is scheduled to wrap up at 9:30 p.m. ET.
