Home Bargains shoppers have been left totally divided by the retailer’s brand new decorations[/caption] Whilst some were fans of the squirrels, others reckoned the decor looked like ‘dead rats’[/caption] The prices range from £3.99 to £7.99[/caption]This comes after one fan of the mega store, Amanda Haddon, took to Facebook to show off the ”super cute” festive decorations she’d spotted at Home Bargains.
”Home bargains – again. I think these are super cute,” said Amanda about the retailer’s squirrel-inspired decor, which all retailer for under a tenner.
Full of ideas on how to deck her home, Amanda said: ”I’m going to make a snowy display on my banister with them.”
According to the home interior-loving shopper, fellow customers can snap up the squirrel on the stick for £7.99, whilst the standalone squirrel decoration will set you back just £3.99.
But whilst the customer seemed to be pleased with her finds, the brand new additions to the aisles appeared to have left other Facebook users totally divided.
The post, shared on the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, has since racked up more than 260 likes and hundreds of comments.
”I’ll be honest i thought stored taxidermy at first,” wrote one member of the page who reckoned the squirrels looked dead.
”It’s an unusual taste but if you can make it work then go for it,” the person went on.
”At first glance I thought they were rats,” cried another, comparing the decor to the common rodent.
”that’s what I thought u had to look double make sure they weren’t rats,” someone else chimed in.
”Looks like they’ve been killed and hung,” a fourth also wasn’t too sure about the bizarre ornament.
However, amongst fellow Home Bargains fans, there were also plenty of those who were quite keen to snap up the £3.99 and £7.99 finds.
”I’m gonna get a squirrel, just hope my cat doesn’t get to it,” a person joked.
