Samsung fans left ‘blown away’ as 55-inch TV with ‘brilliant picture’ gets reduced to £350 on Amazon
SAMSUNG fans have been leaving rave reviews about a discounted television on Amazon.
The 55-inch model from Samsung’s DU7110 has been reduced from £448 to £350.

A week ahead of its Black Friday sale, Amazon has surprised shoppers with a 22% price drop on a mid-size TV from the biggest brand on the UK market.
I spotted this bargain Samsung telly on the TV deals section of the Amazon website earlier today.
This is definitely one of Samsung’s more basic television ranges.
But hey: you’ll have to dip deeper into your wallet if you want a QLED or Neo-QLED model of the same size.
The new sale price of £350 is a terrific asking price for a TV that, just a few years ago, would have been considered absolutely enormous in size.
For the average UK living room, a 55-inch television is usually in that Goldilocks zone: not too big, not too small, just right.
Big isn’t always better: be sure you’ve got the necessary viewing space if you’re eyeing up the 65-inch or 75-inch set from the same range.
If you’re not certain which size is right for your space, read The Sun’s what size TV to buy explainer.
The 55-inch DU7110 might not have the premium screen tech of pricier Samsung televisions.
But it’s boosted by a internal processor that fine-tunes whatever you’re watching and upscales it to 4K quality.
On top of that, an object tracking sound function can detect motion in whatever you’re watching and move the sound across the speakers.
This is AI-powered tech that has only been around for the last few years.
It’s not that long ago that you’d have to spend some serious cash on a TV with these features.
There’s also Tizen, Samsung’s smart platform where you can switch between services and apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ – a UI that’s widely considered one of the finest available.
Gaming fans will also appreciate the smart hub that puts all your games together, letting you play Xbox games without a console required.
‘Blown away!’ writes one customer on the Amazon website. ‘The picture quality is perfect, sharp and crisp… The sound is awesome.
‘I didn’t know you could get this quality at this price.’
‘Brilliant picture and sound,’ writes another shopper. ‘Super-easy to set up and use. Great price too!’
Amazon’s Black Friday sale is set to begin next Thursday (21st November), and we will almost definitely see prices fall across a lot more televisions.
But if you’re in the market for a reliable, entry-level TV from an industry heavyweight, there’s really no need to wait.
