'Victory is not ours': Steve Bannon pouts as Republicans snub MAGA's preferred Senate head
Right-wing strategist Steve Bannon complained after Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL), a favorite of the MAGA movement, lost his bid to become the next Senate majority leader.
At the conclusion of his Wednesday War Room program, Bannon reported that Scott had been eliminated by Senate Republicans, while Sens. John Cornyn (R-TX) and John Thune (R-SD) moved on to a second ballot.
"Breaking news just in," Bannon told his audience. "Rick Scott has been eliminated in the first round of the race for Senate majority leader. Cornyn and Thune advance."
"So victory is not ours," he griped. "I don't care how you dress it up, it's not."
