Amazon hiring at Granville station for the holidays
GRANVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Amazon is now hiring for 100 flexible, part-time positions starting at $19.50 to $20 an hour at its Granville Delivery Station. There is also a $1,000 sign-on bonus.
With part-time seasonal work also comes the opportunity for a transition into a long-term career with the company. About one-third of seasonal employees stay on year after year as well.
A spokesperson for Amazon said, "Many people who join Amazon as a seasonal worker return for additional work, including transitioning to becoming a full-time employee. Approximately one-third of seasonal employees stay on year after year. Furthermore, seasonal employees who stay at the company can see an average pay increase of 15% over their first three years with us."
Amazon also announced its largest wage increase ever for hourly employees in October, bringing at least an additional $1.50 per hour starting this month. The average wage base would now be more than $22 per hour.
Benefits for employees with the company include healthcare coverage from day one of employment, a pay increase of 15% over your first three years working seasonally with Amazon, and career advancement opportunities. You can also get a 401K with a company match and up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave for birth parents among other benefits.
