The Traitors in major series four update – before third season of hit BBC show has even aired
THE Traitors has issued a major update on its fourth series – ahead of the third one even making it to screens.
It has become a runaway success for the BBC and a ratings smash hit and so it will come as no surprise that the Beeb are already well underway to planning their future versions.

Bosses at the Claudia Winkleman fronted show are already looking for contestants to take part in the FOURTH series of the programme.
Although unlikely to air before January 2026, filming for the fourth edition will likely kick off in May of next year in the infamous Scottish castle.
And bosses have wasted no time in scouting out the next potential bunch of Traitors and Faithfuls.
Currently, the crop of budding reality stars have until the 9th February 2025 to apply to see if they have what it takes to play the ultimate game of manipulation.
A poster to advertise for new contestants reads: “We are looking for smart, funny and strategic people to take part in the ultimate game of trust and treachery.
“Do you have what it takes to catch a Traitor?
“Or would you betray everyone and do whatever it takes to win?”
As well as two editions of The Traitors being on the way – a celebrity series is also in the works with a slew of high-profile names having already signed up for the programme.
Journalist Robert Peston is among those set to join the show as well as singer Paloma Faith and This Country‘s sibling duo Charlie and Daisy May Cooper.
They are expected to join Clare Balding, Tom Daley and Stephen Fry on the hit-show spin-off.
A show source said of the celeb line-up: “Casting is still under way, but this won’t be reality stars and the usual faces.
“It will be genuinely interesting names, doing the kind of TV they’re unlikely to enrol in again.
“Peston will be relying on his knowledge of Westminster back-stabbing to bring his A-game to Celebrity Traitors.”
Filming is expected to begin early next year.
A Traitors spokesperson said: “This is a game of lies and deception, so it would be foolhardy for any Faithful to speculate before it begins.”
