Court records: Woman charged with murder after killing man she claimed kidnapped her
GILLESPIE COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) -- A Texas woman was indicted on a murder charge related to a March incident in which she told a 911 operator she shot and killed a man she claimed kidnapped her, according to court documents.
The incident happened in Fredericksburg and the charge was filed in Gillespie County.
Amy Lejeune was indicted on Oct. 8, according to Gillespie County court records.
KXAN reached out to Lejeune's attorney for a response to the allegations. This story will be updated if a response is received.
In March, law enforcement found a man dead after Lejeune called 911 and said she shot her alleged kidnapper, according to the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office. The Montgomery, Texas woman told police she had been drugged and kidnapped, according to the sheriff.
The man who died was identified as 49-year-old Lance Reid, from the Houston area.
Lejeune is scheduled to make her next court appearance on Jan. 9, 2025, according to court documents.
