Fourth arrest made in connection with murder of 19-year-old Trayonna Williams
VILLE PLATTE, La. (KLFY) -- A fourth arrest has been made in connection with the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Trayonna Williams, according to the Ville Platte Police Department.
Chief A. Perry Thomas announced Tuesday that 24-year-old Kubby Simon was taken into custody Saturday with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals. Simon faces one count of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder. His bond was set at $3,750,000.
The shooting that killed Williams and injured two men, ages 26 and 27, occurred on Sept. 14 near the intersection of Huey P. Long and Reed Street, police said.
Not long after the shooting, 20-year-old Tavion Fontenot and an unnamed juvenile, age 15, were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Last month, 25-year-old Malik Charles was the third suspect arrested in the case.
Police said more arrests are possible.
