Pad Thai Noodle in Colonie rebuilding after explosion
COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Pad Thai Noodle has begun rebuilding their business after an explosion destroyed the Everett Road building in April. The restaurant shared the announcement on the restaurant's Facebook page on Nov. 8.
"Our restaurant is being rebuilt and is currently under construction," the business shared on Facebook. "We look forward to serving all of our great customers again soon! Thank you all for your generosity and support!"
Sarinya Singthon opened Pad Thai Noodle on Everett Road eight years ago and bought the building in 2021. In April, a natural gas explosion happened, leaving the building to be demolished.
Shortly after the business was looking for a temporary space and a GoFundMe was started. Since April's explosion, the GoFundMe has raised over $13,000.
Pad Thai Noodle serves classic Thai dishes like Pad Thai, curry, and rice dishes. For updates on construction, visit the Pad Thai Noodle Facebook page.
