Saratoga Biochar denied all permits
MOREAU, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Moreau town supervisor said all permits for Saratoga Biochar were denied. The town now has 30 days to appeal the decision if they choose to do so.
A document from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation said they did not meet standards for an Air State Facility permit, a Solid Waste Facility permit, or a case-specific Beneficial Use Determination.
Saratoga Biochar Solutions was seeking to build a solid waste management facility in the Moreau Industrial Park. Residents, however, pushed back against the development.
NEWS10 reached out to Biochar for comment but did not receive a reply Tuesday night.
