But fans were left frustrated on Monday night when Vito and Sarah joined Fleur East on It Takes Two, saying the dancing pro need to “calm down.”
On social media, one person wrote: “Glad Sarah managed to get some words in he goes at 100mph, she’s got so much patience.”
Others claimed Vito was pretending not to know certain words, as someone said: “I’m finding it annoying now, I think he does it for the laughs.”
A third person wrote: “In my opinion Vito is pretending not to know certain words and I’m finding it annoying now, rather than funny.”
A fourth said: “He is acting like a young child who has had too many sweets. Honestly it’s so OTT.”
Vito and Sarah dressed up in green for their appearance on It Takes Two, and both looked amazing.
The animated pair chatted about their chemistry off and on the dance floor, with Sarah saying about Vito: “I feel like I’m fixated with him from start to finish.”
Their It Takes Two appearance comes after Miranda Hart made an emotional cameo on Sarah’s rehearsal VT, much to the delight of fans.
In the clip, Miranda was seen sneaking into the couple’s rehearsals for Icons Week on Strictly.
The pair, who have repeatedly received high scores each week, were practising their Cha-Cha-Cha to Madonna‘s ‘Like a Prayer’.
Jokingly ‘choreographing’ her best friend, an emotional Miranda then showered Sarah with praise as she told her: “It’s an amazing experience, I feel lucky, like I have won a prize.”
BBC bosses are said to be keen to entice Miranda to join a future series and are using Sarah to make it happen.
The Call the Midwife actress is said to be on BBC bosses hit list with their hopes lying with Sarah to impress her co-star and pal to sign up next year.
An insider told The Mail on Sunday: “Sarah and Miranda used to watch Strictly at home together before Sarah was on it.
“It was their joint dream to be on [the show]. Ultimately, Miranda would love to go on the show.”
They added: “The BBC is desperate to get the big names back on the show.
“If they could tempt Miranda onto it, then it could encourage other big celebrities to do it again.
“Sarah is their hope because she’s so close to Miranda.”
