Top MAGA lawyer Mike Davis warns of 'civil war' if Trump is sentenced in New York
Mike Davis, a top lawyer in the MAGA movement, warned there would be a civil war if President-elect Donald Trump is sentenced in New York after being convicted of 34 felonies related to covering up an alleged affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels.
During a Tuesday discussion on the right-wing War Room podcast, host Steve Bannon noted that New York Judge Juan Merchan had temporarily postponed a hearing into whether Trump's conviction should be set aside. The president-elect had been scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 26.
"if [Merchan] doesn't declare a mistrial on the 19th, Trump will be sentenced on Nov. 26, so let's ask Judge Merchan this," Davis opined. "Does he really think that he's going to send the president-elect of the United States to Rikers Island instead of letting the American people send President Trump back to the White House?"
"I'm not I'm not advocating for this, but is he looking for a civil war?" he continued. "What the hell does Judge Merchan think will happen if this partisan Democrat judge — corrupt judge because his daughter is raising money off of this case, requiring his recusal? What does Merchan think is going to happen if you send the president-elect of the United States to Rikers Island on bogus charges?"

"This is this is very dangerous where this is heading."
Bannon advocated "going on offense" because he claimed there was a "vast conspiracy" against Trump.
