Man, 75, and woman, 70, attacked by shirtless suspect in Manhattan: NYPD
HELL'S KITCHEN, Manhattan (PIX11) --- A shirtless suspect is accused of punching a 75-year-old man in the face and attacking a woman, 70, during a botched robbery, leaving them bloody and bruised on a Manhattan street Saturday, police said.
The incident happened while the victims were walking down the street at West 44th Street between Ninth and Tenth avenues in Hell's Kicthen at 10:35 p.m. The suspect allegledy tried to snatch the woman's purse before shoving her to the ground and reaching for the man's wallet, according ot the NYPD.
The suspect then allegeldy punched the man in the face several times, seriously injuring his eye, police said. The woman suffered a bloody nose and elbow and neck injuries. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The susepct took off his shirt before walking away from the scene, police said. He was last seen heading westbound on West 44th Street.
There have been no arrests.
