Six Hibees Away On International Duty!
Six Hibernian FC First Team players have been called up to represent their nations during the November international break.
The players all travelled to their nation’s locations on Sunday and will return around Wednesday 20 November, 2024.
Martin Boyle & Lewis Miller
The duo has once again been selected for the Socceroos and their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
During the November break they will take on Saudi Arabia in Melbourne (Thursday 14 November, 2024; 9.10am UK time kick-off), and Bahrain in the Bahrain National Stadium on Tuesday 19 November, 2024; 6.15pm UK time kick-off).
Tony Popovic’s side currently sit second in their Third Round World Cup qualifying group. However, they are on the same points as Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Japan currently top the group.
Lewis Miller, who was deemed fit to travel, will be looking to build on his 8 caps, whilst Martin Boyle currently has 29.
Junior Hoilett
Junior Hoilett has returned to the Canada set-up for their November fixtures.
The creative winger currently has 63 caps for his nation, scoring 16 goals, and setting up 18.
During the current international break, Canada will be competing in the Concacaf Nations League Quarter-Finals facing Suriname both home and away.
The first leg in Suriname takes place on Friday 15 November, 2024; 11.30pm UK time kick-off, before the second leg in Toronto five days later (Wednesday 20 November, 2024; 12.30am UK time kick-off).
The winner advances to the Concacaf Nations League Finals and qualifies for the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup.
Nathan Moriah-Welsh
Nathan Moriah-Welsh will once again join up with the Guyana National Team as they complete in the Concacaf Nations League Play-in.
They will face Barbados over two legs as the Play-In round serves as a qualifier for the Gold Cup prelims.
They travel to Barbados first on Friday 15 November, 2024 (11pm UK time kick-off), before hosting them five days later on Wednesday 20 November, 2024 (12am UK time kick-off).
Moriah-Welsh currently has 20 caps for Guyana.
Rocky Bushiri
Rocky Bushiri earned himself another call-up to DR Congo.
The Leopards face Guinea (Saturday 16 November, 2024; 7pm UK time kick-off) and Ethiopia (Tuesday 19 November, 2024; 4pm UK time kick-off) in their latest African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
They are currently top of their qualifying group winning all four of their fixtures. Guinea are currently second, six points behind DR Congo.
Our centre-half currently has two caps for DR Congo.
Rudi Molotnikov
Rudi Molotnikov has received another call-up to Scotland’s Under-19s side.
They are back on home soil for the month of November as they prepare for the first qualifying round ahead of next summer's European Championships in Romania.
Scotland will take on Wales (Wednesday 13 November, 2024; 3pm kick-off), Liechtenstein (Saturday 16 November, 2024; 3pm kick-off) and France (Tuesday 19 November, 2024; 7.30pm) in Group 5, with the top two sides advancing to the Elite Round, which will take place in March.
Rudi currently has nine caps for Scotland’s Under-19s and has scored three goals.
