The Everton Forum • Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, IT'S HAPPENING!!
Appreciate what you're saying about the net result being all that matters and mathematically you are right but of course, in reality we know that is not the case, if it were, nobody would ever be sacked until relegation was secured, or top 4 out of reach etc.Appreciate most of the post except the part in bold which a few have mentioned.
He can't really control the fixtures order, or when injuries occur. But if 48 points (earned) is OK from W13 D9 L16, but the order in which they were acheived is problematic, then that's an issue for the fans to get over, not the manager.
If we're very unhappy with long periods not winning, then surely if we're being fair-minded we should then be ecstatic with the winning streaks? Net result still = OK.
The periods of dreadful form are irrespective of fixture difficulty as we've seen from the last 11 games, and outside of the emotional impact of watching your team win 2 games in 11, 0 in 10 etc, is that winning runs are not guaranteed, and one day it won't happen. See Burnley for what happens then.
