Sunday kicks off wet work week in Oregon
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Saturday night's rain is giving way to a few scattered showers Sunday morning, as we are inbetween systems. But by Sunday afternoon and evening, rainfall rates will pick up across the Willamette Valley as a warm front pushes inland.
Expect up to a quarter-inch of rain in the valley and up to a half-inch along the Oregon Coast. Temperatures will remain about average for this time of the year with highs in the mid-to-upper 50s in the Portland metro area.
Looking ahead, it's going to be a wet work week with systems arriving about every 48 hours. It is also looking more and more difficult to find any long periods of dry time coming up this week.
By the end of the week, snowfall levels will drop and snow return to the Cascades.
