New pavilion, basketball court open at South Bethlehem Park
BETHLHEM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Town of Bethlehem recently celebrated the debut of a new pavilion and basketball court in South Bethlehem Park. The renovation project was funded through a $175,000 state grant.
"The South Bethlehem Town Park has always been a tremendous asset for Bethlehem’s residents
to enjoy," said State Senator Neil Breslin. "I was happy to help to enhance the park by providing
funding for this new pavilion."
The new facilities add to the amenities of the park, which already include a playground, a softball field, a picnic area, and fishing access along Onesquethaw Creek. The pavilion can accommodate over 80 people, and reservations of the new space for 2025 will open to the public on January 2.
"South Bethlehem Park is a hidden gem in our town park network," said Town Supervisor
David VanLuven. "Thank you, Senator Breslin, for helping us make it even better."
