Second-alarm fire in Whitehall sends five to hospital
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Five people were hospitalized after a reported fire at a Whitehall apartment complex late Thursday night.
Fire crews from multiple agencies responded to a fire at the Colonial East Apartments, off East Broad Street in Whitehall at 11:59 p.m. Thursday. The Columbus Division of Fire, assisting in the investigation, confirmed that the second-alarm fire injured five people, who were taken to area hospitals.
The extent of the injuries is unknown at this time, and it has not been confirmed how the fire started.
