Johnston Street lane closure near downtown Lafayette to start Monday
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Part of Johnston Street near downtown Lafayette will be down to one lane starting next week.
Lafayette Consolidated Government’s Traffic, Roads, and Bridges Department has announced the temporary lane closure as part of the Downtown Drainage Inlet Replacement Project.
Starting Monday, Nov. 11, the northbound exterior (right) lane in the 900 block of Johnston Street, just north of Jefferson Street, will be closed to traffic. This lane closure is expected to remain in effect through Nov. 29.
LCG said Southern Constructors will perform work to upgrade and replace the existing drainage catch basin in the area.
