Spurs team news: Ange Postecoglou provides Cristian Romero injury update
Ange Postecoglou has delivered an injury update on his Spurs players ahead of the visit of Ipswich Town, including Cristian Romero who missed the game against Galatasaray.
Tottenham have a number of injury issues at the moment
Tottenham suffered their first Europa League defeat in this season’s competition having lost 3-2 against Galatasaray on Thursday evening.
Postecoglou was without a number of his Tottenham first-team squad for the trip to Turkey with first-choice central defensive pair Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero having both been sidelined through injury.
The Australian also had limited options further up the pitch with both Timo Werner and Mikey Moore having remained back in London due to injury and illness, respectively.

Postecoglou provides Cristian Romero injury update at Spurs
Postecoglou told the Tottenham media team that both Moore and Werner will also miss this weekend’s action against Ipswich Town. However, in more positive news, Cristian Romero has a chance of returning, depending how training goes over the next two days.
Everyone else made it through the trip to Galatasaray unscathed, according to Postecoglou.
Spurs need to show consistency in their performances
Tottenham need to bounce back with a victory against Ipswich this weekend, with consistency proving to be a problem.
The defensive partnership of Radu Dragusin and Ben Davies is a concern if it is to continue with the backline desperately missing the presence of Romero and van de Ven.
Spurs are seventh in the Premier League table heading into this weekend and need to take all three points to keep in touching distance of those above them, including Arsenal.
The Tractor Boys have experienced a tough return to the top flight and are still seeking their first victory having drawn five and lost the other five of their ten matches to date.
