First of Christmas markets is on this weekend
Is it the season already? For the jolly, festive and cheery Christmas markets to take over? It seems so, as with over a month to go until Christmas, eager vendors and event organisers are getting into the holiday spirit early as the first of the Christmas markets arrives this weekend.
The annual Christmas Autumn Market Kivides takes the lead as it returns for a two-day event. This Saturday and Sunday, the St Panteleimon Hall in Pano Kivides will host around 100 stalls selling crafty creations and all sorts of goodies that make the perfect Christmas gift.
Apart from 100 vendors to browse and meet, the market will also include entertainment for young visitors and fun things to do for the whole family. Looney Mascots will be there on both days to spread the cheer and engage children in activities. A bubble house with festive balloons, a large bouncy castle with a 3 metre slide, face painting, a candy stand and a corner where visitors can make their own Christmas tree ornaments are some of the activities old and young can take part in.
Of course, it would not be a Christmas market without a visit from Santa Claus who will visit from 2pm to 5pm to give out presents and take photos with visitors. And before you know it, every weekend will fill with festive markets. This is only the beginning!
