Marjorie Taylor Greene: Election proves I'm not extreme — I'm 'mainstream America'
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) proclaimed on the far-right Real America's Voice platform Thursday that the results of the election prove she's not an extremist — and that much of America thinks just like her.
This comes amid speculation, and suggestions among Donald Trump allies, that Greene could be given a Cabinet role or some other high-ranking position in the incoming administration.
"The message that was shot across the bow is, guess what, the American people, the voters that voted for Trump overwhelmingly, they are MTG," she said. "MTG is not radical or extreme, she's mainstream America, and I am very much looking forward to working in an administration that is on that level."

Greene, who was first elected in 2020, faced heavy scrutiny for social media activity promoting the QAnon conspiracy theory, which holds that America is controlled by a secret group of demonic child traffickers, and even promoting the idea California wildfires were being set using a Jewish space laser. She had her committee assignments revoked for endorsing social media calls to kill Democratic officials, but those assignments were restored after Republicans won control of the House in 2022.
Since being elected, Greene has sought to distance herself somewhat from her pre-election social media posts.
However, she has remained on the far-right flank of the GOP caucus, although she was booted out of the infamously firebrand House Freedom Caucus over trust issues.
More recently, she helped lead an unsuccessful push to throw House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) out of leadership, on the basis that he was making too many concessions to Democrats to keep the government funded.
