Two hospitalized after crash in Poughkeepsie
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department (TPPD) is investigating a two-car crash that took place on South Road (State Route 9) on Tuesday afternoon. Both drivers were hospitalized as a result of the crash.
The initial investigation determined that on November 5 around 2:45 p.m., a Honda sedan traveling northbound on South Road collided with an Audi sedan heading west at the Galleria Drive intersection by the exit near the AT&T store. According to police, both drivers were taken to nearby hospitals to be treated for serious injuries.
South Road was closed until just after 5:30 p.m. while the area was assessed. The New Hamburg Fire Department and Empress Ambulance Servies assisted TPPD at the scene.
