Schoharie County man found guilty of Rensselaerville burglary
RENSSELAERVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany County District Attorney's Office (ACDAO) announced that Patrick Corbett, 44, of Broome, was convicted in a burglary case on Thursday afternoon. Corbett was arrested in December of 2023.
The indictment against Corbett alleged that he unlawfully entered a home on County Route 12 in Rensselaerville on November 29, 2023, intending to steal property. The initial investigation by the Albany County Sheriff’s Office resulted in a search warrant being executed at Corbett's home on December 1, 2023, where deputies reportedly located several items that were taken in the burglary.
Corbett was found guilty of second-degree burglary following a jury trial in Albany County Court on November 7. The ACDAO says that Corbett failed to appear at Thursday's court appearance, leading to a bench warrant being issued. His sentencing will be scheduled upon his arrest.
