A New 'Star Wars' Trilogy is in Development at Lucasfilm, & an 'X-Men' Alum is Involved!
Lucasfilm is preparing to kick off a new Star Wars trilogy with a little help from an X-Men alum!
Five years after Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker premiered and closed out the Skywalker Saga, a new trilogy of movies is in the works.

According to reporting by Variety, the new movies are coming from Simon Kinberg, who will be writing and producing.
X-Men fans will know Simon for his work across the film universe. He wrote 2006′s X-Men: The Last Stand and worked on 2011′s X-Men: First Class, 2014′s X-Men: Days of Future Past, 2016′s X-Men: Apocalypse and 2019′s Dark Phoenix.
At the moment, it is not clear if the movies will continue the Skywalker Saga or if they will take place at a different point in the cinematic universe.
The trilogy is said to be “in early development, and it’s unclear when it’ll go into production.”
