On the Ami Charliz Private Story podcast, Heather opened up about why the relationship collapsed.
She alleged that a social media comment, in which someone claimed that their friend “got with Elis”, began an argument that ended their relationship.

The couple still went on holiday to Crete, but finally broke up on the third night.
The podcast episode came with a disclaimer which read: “This episode includes allegations of behaviour by Elis Watts, who was formerly in a relationship with Heather Bowling.
“We gave Elis and his representatives the opportunity to reply to these allegations. “
“Ellis chose not to reply to the allegations.”
