Liam Payne's Death Investigation Leads to Arrest of 3 People, Body Being Transported Back to England
Liam Payne‘s death is currently being investigated, and three people have been arrested.
Nearly one month after the One Direction member died after falling from the third floor balcony of his Buenos Aires hotel room, authorities have detained three people of interest, ABC World News confirmed.

A preliminary toxicology report showed that he had drugs in his system at the time of his fall, including “pink cocaine,” a recreational drug typically made up of MDMA, ketamine and methamphetamine.
The National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office No. 14 also confirmed that officials discovered “substances inside the room that at first glance—and pending confirmation from the experts—would be narcotics and alcoholic beverages,” via E! News.
His official cause of death was ruled as “polytraumism,” meaning multiple traumatic injuries internally and externally, the office also confirmed.
At the same time as the arrests, Liam‘s body has been taken from the Buenos Aires’ British cemetery on route to the airport, a senior cemetery source said to Reuters, presumably for repatriation back to England. His body was being held while local authorities completed toxicological and other laboratory reports.
